Behavioral Health
For over 20 years, Crossroads Medical Mission has been providing high quality primary medical services and community resource coordination to the uninsured and underinsured of southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee. The unique "Doctor's Office on Wheels", our mobile unit, first began delivering care in January 2002. In 2022, we purchased and opened a stand-alone clinic. Today, our services reach patients in 17 counties. Every month we offer up to 7 different mobile clinics and up to 16 clinic days (some evenings) at our brick and mortar office, all free of charge to our patients.
Recognizing the need for integrative care, we are slated to open a stand alone Behavioral Health clinic, Hope at the Crossroads, in 2025.
About Peer Support
Peer support is non-clinical support that helps people with substance use disorders (SUD), mental health disorders, or co-occurring mental health and SUD on their chosen path to recovery. Peer recovery specialists are people who have been successful in the recovery process and have been trained and certified to use their experiences to help others. Peers help to eliminate roadblocks on the path to recovery.
Our Peers at Hope at the Crossroads will serve predominately as a recovery resource connection and coordination hub for our community. Hope Peers can help ANYONE regardless of insurance or income status. Hope Peers can also assist with community resource connection.
