Gifts have special meaning when offered “in memory of” or “in honor of” those who have touched our lives. Consider paying tribute to someone special during the holidays, on a birthday or anniversary, or in recognition of any milestone. Be sure to provide your gift recipient’s name and contact information so that we can notify them of your thoughtfulness!

In Kind Contributions

We can ONLY take medications IF medications:

are still in the original manufacturer’s packaging
have never been opened or adulterated in any way
are not past the expiration date
are not controlled substances

We may consider other medical supplies and gifts of in-kind services. If interested in making such gifts, please contact our office.

Gifts of Stocks & Bonds

Crossroads Medical Mission may receive contributions through stock and bond transfers. The Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church Foundation, Inc. receives and processes these gifts on behalf of Crossroads Medical Mission.

Qualified Charitable Distribution

Ira Charitable Rollover: If you’re 70½ or older and have an IRA, you have a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact while being a wise steward of your resources. Through an IRA Charitable Rollover, you can give tax-free directly from your IRA to Crossroads, thanks to provisions allowed by Congress.

This option offers meaningful benefits:

Meet all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)
Lower your taxable income by excluding the gift from your adjusted gross income
Put your generosity to work immediately, supporting Crossroads Medical Mission

Many individuals age 73 or older must take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from their retirement accounts. While this withdrawal is required, how you use it can make a real difference.

By directing part or all of your RMD to Crossroads, you can:

Fulfill your RMD requirement while supporting the work of Crossroads
Turn a required withdrawal into a purposeful gift
See the immediate impact of your generosity in lives and communities

Year-end giving through your RMD is a meaningful way to combine compassion, kindness, and generosity.
